People are disgusted by this Trump supporter who is only regretting their vote now that their undocumented workers are being detained

Hi, I’m Alexa, and I usually use this space to track Donald Trump’s “hot” economy, but we also need to examine how his policies affect ordinary people — especially his loyal followers. So welcome Donnie Hate Clock.

As you may know, throughout his campaigns, Donald Trump has drawn a hard line on immigration and border security. Ahead of the 2024 election, Trump promised: “On day one … We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.”

Somehow, though, it seems many of his base didn’t get the memo…

Now, Trump voters facing deportations in their family, work, schools and communities are voicing their regrets.

Among them is this MAGA supporter who seems to only regret their vote now that it is affecting their employees and therefore their business.

“Let me start by saying I voted for Trump,” the business owner shared in a recent online rant. “He was the best option on the ballot. I didn’t agree with all of his ideas, but all in all, I was hoping he would be a huge improvement over the last administration. In many ways, I think he was.”

“However, this bold notion of deporting all illegal aliens is wrong in my view.”

“Yes, there are a lot of bad illegal immigrants here and they need to be deported. I agree. This is the exception, not the norm.”

“I’m a 67-year-old white homeowner,” they continued. “We are a concrete construction company. I have Hispanic finishers and carpenters who have worked for me for years. A couple for over 20 years.”

“They’re not employees for me. They’re family. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for them. They’re honest, hard-working, reliable guys who go above and beyond. They care, they take pride in what they do. A few of them help their sons on occasion.”

“Now they don’t even have family in Mexico. If they were deported, they wouldn’t have anywhere to go or family.”

“If you’ve never been to Mexico, before you judge these people, you need to experience Mexico for yourself. These people come from poverty. Lousy work for $70 a week.”

“I realize that most people don’t understand or probably don’t care,” they concluded. “This is not what America should be about. Shame on Trump and anyone who thinks this is the right thing to do.”

“It breaks my heart to see these good families being torn apart and having to live in fear here when all they want is to earn an honest living. They don’t live extravagant lives because they send money to help their parents and loved ones get by there so they don’t have to work for the cartel.”

Commentators gave all their sympathy to the affected employees, but they certainly didn’t hold back when it came to their boss. Here’s what they say:

“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for them.” Apart from voting in their interest (and mine)”.

Gestapo smell

“He was willing to do anything but sponsor, finance or take any action to protect his status in this country. They were such a family to him, but he decided to exploit them because they weren’t naturalized citizens and now it’s damned obvious that he can’t exploit his family for another two decades.”

Devil-You know

“What part of ‘deport the illegals’ didn’t this guy understand?”

-southakronoh

“Best option? He means she wasn’t a black woman.”

The commander of the ducks

“Ding ding ding. To him, Trump was clearly the white choice.”

GhostofZellers

“You should have voted for the well-educated black woman instead of the angry, misunderstood white guy lol. If you can listen to a former president ramble on for hours and not take everything he said at face value, then shame on you.”
