Details of the lives of the University of Two University of Wisconsin and the University of Platteville appear after a sudden death in a dormitory.
22 -year -old Kelsie Martin from Beloit and 22 -year -old Halllie L. Helms of Baraboo, both lived at Wilgus Hall – on the shooting site on May 19, where both students left dead, the university said.
According to police, Martin died of a gunshot wound, and Helms died of a self -wound done by self -made, and no one else is involved in the incident.
According to the start program, women completed only two days earlier. Martin graduated from Summa Cum Laude with a degree in psychology, and Helms completed the degree of primary education in Magna Cum Laud.

What do we know about Kelsie Martin
Based on its Linkedin profile, Martin has been in the same year. Was an assistant to the Wilgus Hall director. This meant that she was the main supervisor of the dorm, overseeing eight to 12 assistants’ residents, and wrote LinkedIn.
Based on her profile, she attended weekly meetings, went on working hours and “responded to various emergencies around the hall” including mental health problems, hatred and bias reports, university policy violations and more.
According to the Facebook post from the Residence Life Department, Martin, emphasizing the Residence Life Department, pointed out that 2024 She had more than 400 books and wanted one day to have a library, the report said.
She was a “growing leader and example for young women in the camp,” the report said. It praised her “phenomenal work” in her position in the dormitory.
The recording quotes Martin saying she was applying for work because “I wanted to help people in the same way as my RA helped me in the first year in the camp.”
Before starting the role of the manager, Martin was an assistant to a resident of his second pillar in the Melcher Hall, writes another Residence Life Post. She wanted to get out of her shell and try new things, the report said, and she made some of the strongest friendships during this work.
Before the college, Martin was an assistant to the Coral Cove Family Fun Center, an internal children’s play facility in South Beloite, Illinois, says its LinkedIn.
What do we know about Hallie Helms
Helms was preparing for a career in the field of education. She created a personal site about herself and her philosophy of training, as well as Facebook and X accounts. There, the photo of her cover was a cartoon board containing the “Mrs. Helms class” in a chalk -like font, and once supported a federal account that would increase the minimum wage of teachers.
According to the archived copy of her site, she was inspired by teachers who were enthusiastic and helped her achieve the highest potential.
The personal Hallie Helms site screen has been reached through Wayback Machine. 22-year-old Helms from Baraboo was a graduate of primary education and died in a dormitory at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, along with a psychology student at Kelsie Martin, as well as 22, from Beloit.
“I want to be a teacher who helped, advised and inspired the changes,” she wrote. “I want to change students for the better.”
According to her website, Helms graduated from Baraboo Secondary School and attended UW-Baraboo Uw-Baraboo before 2023. Moving to Platteville. In high school, she entered the Art Club, the Computer Club and the Gender Sexual Alliance Club. In college, she was part of the knitting club and the teaching club.
She also said she gathered bottles of nail polish – preferring a shimmering Poles and teasing nail art – and every summer you enjoyed fishing, swimming and hiking at the Devil Lake.
