In an interview with the upcoming Peacock series, which focuses on the crimes accused of being accused, Ellerup described him as his “hero”.
She also claimed that the police had received a “wrong man”, seeking that Rex Heuermann was not guilty of the murder of seven sex service providers in Long Isna for nearly three decades.

Almost two years have passed since Rex Heuermann was first arrested for the death of three young sex service providers and later accused of four additional victims who were also sex service providers.
A police investigation found some evidence to associate Manhattan architect with crimes, including DNA matches with victims and newspaper clippings on murders.
However, what many now believe in the accused’s wife Asa Ellerup believe in an open and bustle case is a case of false identity.
Speaking during a bomb interview in the future Peacock document “Gilgo Beach killer: House of Secrets”, 61-year-old said she was boldly that her “wonderful” man was not capable of crime he is accused of.
“I know what bad men are capable of,” she said in a clip from the show (too New York record). “I saw it and heard from other men. Not my husband. You have the wrong man.”

In an interview, Ellerup also affectionately talked about his husband and pondered some of the moments they spent together against his arrest.
“He’s my hero,” she said about Heuermann. “There were times when he worked, but I would call him. He would come and pick me up.”
The 61-year-old also recalled that he had visited him in prison and how her first visit to prison came with various excitement and nervousness.
“I didn’t see him all that time, and when I went there, I was excited and, as I was, I don’t know, I think at first date. You’re nervous, you are afraid of how the date will be,” Ellerup said.
Since then, these visits have been reported to have become more frequent about once a week. However, according to two mother, she was afraid to be really open with her for her paranoia that their conversations could be recorded.

Elsewhere, Ellerup described his husband as a dedicated family man, contrary to the narrative who painted him as a serial killer.
“I don’t believe he did it. I don’t see what everyone else says. I don’t see phone call sex service providers,” she said. “Every day I picked it up from the train station. He was at home on weekends. He smoked a cigar in the garage.”
Ellerua continued, “If he told me that he went to Lowe’s to pick up something, and he’s gone for an hour, there’s no crazy road, or this man goes out of the sex service provider by killing them and throwing them on the beach of Gilg.”

While Heuermann can be sentenced to life if he is convicted, Ellerup hopes that everything will eventually work.
“I want him to come home to me,” the mother said. “They try to sit there and tell me it, but I don’t have the knowledge of what they are constantly talking about.” Oh, you must know. “You know what?
She added: “He’s a family man, period.”

Initially, he was charged with Amber Costello, Melissa Barthelemy and Megan Waterman’s murders, and later with four other victims: Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Sandra Costill, Jessica Taylor and Valerie Mack.
Heuermann acknowledged the innocent of all the accusations. This indicates that he is determined to fight for his innocence.
The test date has not yet been set, and Heuermann remains detained at the Riverhead Correctional Office in Suffolko County, New York.
