Royal Caribbean opens the way to innovative new cruise ships

More innovations are on the Royal Caribbean horizon, as it strengthens its relationship with longtime Meyer Turk, one of the largest and most modern ships in the world, specializing in cruise ships.

Cementing a new long -term agreement with the Finnish ship builder, the Royal Caribbean Group secured the rights to build a shipyard over the next decade.

Meyer Turku is a Royal Caribbean icon -class shipbuilder with the world’s largest cruise ships in the world. The third and fourth Cruise Line icon class ships are currently being built at a shipyard. Two new ships follow the Seas icon, which began in 2024, and The Star Stars, which made its debut in 2025. August

This new agreement with Meyer Turku not only formed the basis for the further development of the Royal Caribbean icon class, but also reads the cruise line for the next phase of innovation – another boat class to re -define the future of the holiday.

Royal Caribbean confirms the fifth icon class ship, a new ship class

Now that shipbuilding nests are protected until 2036, Royal Caribbean has confirmed the further expansion of icons and plans to create a new, game -changing boat class behind icons.

No information about the new ship of ships has yet been disclosed, but Royal Caribbean executives recently refused hints of the Discovery project, which is currently in the design process.

“This is a fun project. It will be a new class of the ship. The real Royal Caribbean style will be special, will be innovative. And I think it will be something that will be home to running home from the beginning,” Royal Caribbean Senior Vice President Sales Vicki Freed Freed reported.

But before revealing more in the Discovery class, the cruise line adds another icon to the order book. As part of a new agreement with Meyer Turku, Royal Caribbean has approved an order that the fifth icon class will be delivered in 2028. The cruise line also added the opportunity to build a 7 icon (without previously announced the possibility of building a 6 icon).

Currently, Meyer Turku is building Royal Caribbean the third Icon -Class Ship, Legend of the Seas (launched in the summer of 2026), along with a 4 icon, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2027. The Royal Caribbe also has a seventh Oasis -class ship ordered by 2028. French ship construction Chantiers de l’onlantique.

Royal Caribbean has a variety of new holiday offers pipeline

The new Royal Caribbean Group agreement with Meyer Turku is one of the main things in its perennial holiday innovation in the piping, which includes the cruise ocean and river, and land, such as Perfect Day Mexico opening 2027.

All three of their brands include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea – the Royal Caribbean pipeline has nine new ships, including the first Celebrity River Cruise ships. There are also seven total land directions to 2028 on various holidays of the company.

Although the current Royal Caribbean Orderbook is 2028, the new agreement with Meyer Turku continues until 2036, indicating the cruise line helps the Discovery class to encourage the next phase of the royal Caribbean innovation.
