Andrew’s arrest – live: Ex-prince arrested amid Epstein probe

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was arrested at his Sandringham home on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The former royal was arrested by Thames Valley Police this morning after at least six unmarked police cars arrived at Wood Farm for Andrew’s 66th birthday.

His arrest comes amid an investigation by Thames Valley Police into whether Andrew shared confidential information with the late pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

King Charles has previously expressed his “deep concern” over the allegations about Andrew’s behaviour, with Buckingham Palace saying it would “stand ready to support” police if approached about the claims.

This morning, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said Andrew should speak to UK and US authorities about the Epstein scandal. “Anyone with information should testify. So whether it’s Andrew or someone else, anyone with relevant information should come forward.”

Andrew has consistently denied all claims made against him in relation to Epstein.
