A recently leaked audio from Erika Kirk raised her eyebrows at her attitude towards her husband, Charlie Churchhisdeath.

In the recording, the mother of two can be heard talking to her staff about the success of a TPUSA event and the strong merchandise sales associated with it. She then appeared to dismiss her husband’s death during the discussion, while emphasizing the harmony between the staff.

Criticism continues to follow Erika and has intensified further following the leaked audio of her speaking to members of the TPUSA team two weeks after Charlie’s death.

The audio was released by right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who previously promoted several conspiracy theories about Charlie’s death.

In the recording, Erika can be heard “giggling” and gleefully praising the team for pulling off “an event of the century” and noting the substantial merchandise sales they made.

“Wow, I don’t even know where to start. The fact that we managed to pull off an event of the century is just crazy. We had 275,000 people attend and a sold out stadium,” Erika said in the leaked audio.

She added: “I think we’re at about 200,000 for merchandise sales. Don’t quote me on that, because I think it just keeps going up like crazy. I just wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to the events team, the development team, the graphic design team and the production team.”

Hearing Erika talk so cheerfully about merchandise sales following her husband’s death certainly raised eyebrows, but her apparent dismissal of the death was even more shocking.

Halfway through her speech, she earnestly urged her staff to resolve any past conflicts between them before continuing to comment on Charlie’s death.

“My husband died. I’m not trying to be morbid, but he’s dead. And it puts life into perspective on how short life and relationships are,” Erika said.

In response, Owens then said on her podcast that she was surprised by Erika’s seemingly calm reaction.

“In my imagination, I just thought she would be more angry,” the right-wing influencer noted.

Reaction to Erika’s audio leak was somewhat divided, with several calling out the widow’s overly cheerful attitude, while others noted that she was simply taking advantage of a bad situation.

A critic at X noted, “The most cheerful leftist you can imagine, isn’t half as happy about Charlie Kirk’s death as Charlie Kirk’s wife.”

Another person wrote: “People cry differently, but no one cries like this.”

“This is the first time she sounds genuine, being happy to go to her husband’s memorial, crazy, every other speech she gave about her husband sounds like bad acting,” a third person commented on the leaked audio.

However, several showed their support for Erika, with one asking: “What should she do? Not reach out and thank the team that put up her husband’s memorial?”

Another said: “Erika is excited that millions of people have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. Why are we upset about this?!”

The widow embarks on a new tour of faith

Since taking over Charlie, Erika has hosted several TPUSA events and recently launched another under the non-profit arm Faith.

The inaugural “Make Heaven Crowded” tour will visit 30 cities this year to call people to “repentance, faith and bold obedience to Jesus.”

“This tour is so special to me because I wanted to bring a piece of heaven from my husband and bring it to everyone around this county so they can have that extension and that beauty and that palpable feeling of the Holy Spirit,” Erika said of the tour to an audience of thousands. New York Post.

“The church is never meant to withdraw from culture. We will change this country. We will change this world,” she added.

Erika Kirk has come under fire for including a controversial pastor linked to a child trafficking case on her tour

Unfortunately for Erika, the tour, which is still in its infancy, was quickly overshadowed by controversy surrounding Pastor Greg Laurie’s role as keynote speaker.

Laurie, the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, has been named in a series of lawsuits filed in US federal court alleging child abuse and trafficking by former pastor Paul Havsgaard.

The lawsuit alleged that church leaders, including Laurie, allowed Havsgaard to operate without oversight and overlooked multiple warning signs of his alleged misconduct when he ran church-supported orphanages in Romania from 1998 to 2008.

Laurie and his church have since denied any wrongdoing.

“This is not Charlie’s turning point. Erika doesn’t do what Charlie would do, ugh,” a second individual commented about Laurie’s inclusion.
