Ford still working on what else might be his most delicious pony car

The Insider report confirms that Blue Oval is still seeking to expand the available Mustang force drive options.

About a month ago, Ford confirmed that its gas -powered Mustang was nowhere to be found.

Given the electrification of the charger and the Camar termination, this has led to a huge sigh of relief between muscle car fans-ypach, given that the Blue Oval Mach-E has been such a strong seller.

Nevertheless, the company did not rule out the hybrid. In contrast, as Ford published reports before such a mustang was developed.

Although the lack of progress made it look like the company has abandoned the project, it turns out that the blue oval may have more than a few hidden its stability.

Mustang Mule, Wild Hybrid?

According to recently Ford government In the report, “Sources familiar with the subject”, said that the S650 Mustang Hybrid model, known as the S650E, is currently operating.

Although the exact type of hybrid force gear was not disclosed (ie, a light hybrid, a hybrid with a plug -in or some range of expansion), the future of the vehicle was not clear, allegedly that several prototypes entered the “proof of technology”.

In other words (and risking more horses), there are probably mustang mules with a certain form of electrification under the hood. Ford really has a reason to consider such a car before giving an idea to pasture.

After all, many exotic and aspiring car brands – such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche – have accepted hybrid technology as a means of increasing performance and exhaust. Hybrid mustang must not mean an economical sip.

Closer to home, Chevrolet has recently overtaken Blue Oval Superautomobile Mustang GTD in Nürburgring with its Corvette ZR1 and ZR1X. Although the former adhered to a good old -fashioned internal combustion, the latter overtook Ford for almost three seconds because it set up an electric motor in front.

Basically, Ford could try the Mustang hybrid as an alternative to their Ecoboost and Mach-E offers. It can also invest in something even stronger than GTD.

Ability to pack disputes

No matter how it can form, the hybrid mustang is bound by some feathers between the crowds of muscle cars – assuming that, of course, it sees the light of day.

For beginners, the decision to give Mach-E’s famous Pony Car Moniker is the one that still raises eyebrows even today. Although the hybrid is likely to hold the coupe body style, it still has a definition of a muscle car in most purist in the eyes.

In addition, hybrids are famous for their wear and tear. Because of their novelty, they tend to experience a dramatic decline in value, whether it is something home, such as Corvette E-Ray or something exotic, such as the Ferrari F80. Even if it is not a Ford concern, owners are unlikely to like the impact.

But in the end, it may be a matter of policy. Given the efforts of the current administration to mitigate the emissions standards, Ford has significantly less reasons to electrify its icon.

Is it even worth doing this excitement in that case? If this relates to the performance issue (read: “Pride”), everything is possible.
