MSHSAA Columbia Music Festival Results for Thursday, April 25, 2024

The University of Missouri-Columbia campus is hosting the 72nd annual Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Music Festival Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27. The festival will feature 4,200 individual and group performances from 358 schools. Events will be held at various locations across the university, including the Fine Arts Building, Memorial Union, Tate Hall and the Sinquefield Music Center

Trenton students who received gold included Victor Markel with trombone solo, Shayla Campbell with trumpet solo and Caleb Campbell with vocal solo. Trenton students who received silver were Joshua Truitt with a tuba solo, Caleb Campbell with another trombone solo, and Isaac Bonta, Garrison Otto and Sophia Curry each with a vocal solo. Silver was also awarded to a double quartet from Trenton. Its members are Max Baker, Isaac Bonta, Caleb Campbell, Colton Hammond, Brennan Henriques, Victor Markel, Ethan Schell and Ronald Woods.

Gold went to a trumpet quartet from North Harrison. Its members are Lani Briggs, Kyler Kimbrough, Andrea Nail and Kinsley Utley. North Harrison students receiving silver are Andrea Neal with trumpet solo, Kaika Wilson and Brayden Neal each with trombone solo, Brayden Neal and Dylan Hartschen each with tuba solo and Michael Meka with timpani solo. A trombone quartet from Trenton received silver. Its members are Lane Graham, Dylan Hartschen, Brayden Nail and Kaika Wilson. A Percussion Ensemble from North Harrison also received silver. Its members are Axel Allen, Addison Davis, Colton Graham, Michael Mecca and Ava Reinhart. A mixed wind trio from North Harrison received bronze. Its members are Lela Hartschen, Annabelle Owens and Catherine Parkhurst.

A clarinet trio from Gallatin received gold. Its members are Emma Christopher, Valentina Green and William Plant. Emma Christopher also received silver for solo soprano clarinet.

Cameron students receiving gold included Libby Cruikshank, Grace McKinnon, Abigail Clayton and Aaron Gino, each with a vocal solo; Shay Slaton with soprano clarinet solo; Sidney Lockridge with trumpet solo; Dakota Terrill with a tuba solo; Hallie Foster with bass clarinet solo; and Avery Westover with an alto sax solo. Cameron students receiving silver include Alison Brown, Evan Marshall and Avigail Curtis, each with a vocal solo; Madeline Proctor with soprano clarinet solo; Bella Sappington and Abigail Curtis with keyboard solos; and Scott Holberg with a snare drum solo. SSA sextet from Cameron received silver. Its members are Alison Brown, Libby Cruikshank, Avigail Curtis, Grace McKinnon, Kate McKinnon and Bailey Robinson. A clarinet trio by Cameron received silver. Its members are Jeeya Patel, Madelyn Proctor and Shea Slatten. Percussion Ensemble by Cameron received Silver. Its members are Avigail Curtis, Ethan Gilbert, Scott Holberg, Jackson Klenk, Lillian Klenk, Prachi Patel, Asher Sappington and Bella Sappington. A saxophone quartet from Cameron also received silver. Its members are Gannon Hamilton, Austin Martin, Landyn Smith and Avery Westover. Cameron’s Natalie Cheadle was awarded bronze for solo soprano clarinet.

Students from Penney High School in Hamilton receiving silver include Kadence Railsback and Auburn Tapp, each with a vocal solo. An SSA sextet from Penney also received silver. Its members are Emma Galbraith, Rutan Lusk, Elizabeth Lusk, Cadence Railsback, Gabriella Segar and Auburn Tapp.
