Archaeologists remain excited by the observation, seemingly Ahistorian find in the deep Canadian desert. However, after many years of research, analysis and historical approval, the interdisciplinary team finally reached its conclusions to the public. About 465 miles in the northwest of the Ottawa forest, a large foundation plate is handed by hand engraved by the passage of the Lord’s prayer. However, religious text is not written in French or English – it consists of more than 250 characters from the oldest known Runic alphabet.
Based on the CBC, anxious discovery occurred completely by accident. For centuries, the hidden stone was affected only after the tree fell near the city of Wawa, near the Upper Lake. A more close inspection showed that someone has engraved 255 runes to a section of about 4-5 feet. In addition, they took time to add a detailed boat illustration, additional 16 runes signs and 14 X Major.
The photos of the site soon ended in front of the President of the Ontario Archaeological Education Center Ryan Primrose, which was immediately overwhelmed by images.
“This is definitely one of the least likely discoveries in my career. It’s extremely fascinating,” he told CBC.

Futhark runes
However, Primrose did not want someone to jump from conclusions about the note. Although it is true that the Vikings were exploring the present Canada thousands of years ago, he doubted that they were responsible for the message of mystery.
“We didn’t want to spend anything publicly until we had done as much analysis as possible,” said Primrose.
Soon he contacted Henrik Williams, a professor at Runology at the University of Uppsala, and helped the famous expert to visit the site next October.
“I was for three hours under the nuclear color with a flashlight, looking at the runes, while others were sitting outside to freeze,” Williams recalled.

The group’s patience and endurance paid off. Finally, Williams found that the message was written with the Futhark alphabet runes. The Germanic nations between the 2nd and 8th CE, Futhark, eventually, became a simplified version of Scandinavian in the long run. Both Anglo -Saxons and Frisiacs also expanded it into their own variants, but the knowledge of how to read his original iteration died of the High Middle Ages (about 1000-1300 CE). Only in 1865 Norwegian scientist Sophus Bugge finally managed to decipher the long -lost language.
But people all over Europe were fascinated by runes. In the early 1600s, Johannes Burueus, the Swedish polyma (and the occultist), adopted the symbols to the system that was approximately the language of his native country. This ended with the Swedish Lord prayer written with the Futhark Runes in 1611.

The latest note
“It was supposed to be a Swedish,” said Primrose about the eurk. “Was there a Swedish at all here?”
According to his research, not in the 18th century. However, historical documents confirm that the Hudson Bay company has been deployed by Swedish employees in trade reports throughout Canada, starting in the 1800s. And it happens that the prayer of Burus Runico Lord was proclaimed in the 19th century.
Primrose and colleagues are now theoretorize that the Hudson’s Bay Company employee or employees are responsible for a lot of work that took days, if not for weeks.
Protected by professionals now cooperates with local landowners to rent a public heritage site that has a protective structure that protects against elements.
Primroes admitted that he was “a little disappointed”, that the artifact is probably only a couple of centuries, but many questions still include the find. Was the site a place for religious gatherings or for one person’s devotion efforts? Before his exposition, he also saw a few inches of soil. Were no other artefacts nearby or was the prayer intentionally buried?
“The secret doesn’t go away because she’s younger than we were expecting. Why was it carved here? Why this text? There are no answers,” he said. “And secrets always attract people.
