“The only thing he cares about is the price/benefit”

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, is known for its confidently underestimating the time needed for the intended progress in many of its companies such as Tesla, X and SpaceX.

Some believe that as an effort to push their company to achieve goals that can be a major motivation, although the new version of Electrek said some of these ambitious, unrealized promises seem less than an expression of optimism and more as intentional deception.

Fred Lambert, editor -in -chief of Electrek Thursday, published an article promoted by the then Musk exchange with Tesla Investor and Musk Acolyte Sawyer Merritt.

Four days ago, Merritt Tweet Tweet from an interview attended by Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. In the distributed segment, the interlocutor asked Khosrowshahi about the future future of autonomous electric vehicles.

In response to the question of whether the Waymo Multifunctional Attitude will appear at the top or whether Tesla’s “only camera” setup will control the highest place, Khosrowshahi questioned only cameras can lead to a “super -human safety level”.

Musk responded to Merritt, challenging Khosrowshahi.

“Lidar and radar reduce security due to the sensor attachment. … This sensor ambiguity increased, not reduced,” said Musk.

The conversation attracted Lambert’s eye and reminded him of the discussion he had with Musk in 2021.

“This is not only wrong, Musk told me directly that he agreed that radar and vision could be safer than just vision, just after he had to remove Radars from his vehicles,” Lambert assured.

He added screenshots of the conversation to support his claim.

“We are now in 2025 and, unlike the Musk, Tesla has yet to fulfill its independent promises, but the CEO doubles his approach to vision only,” Lambert added.
