‘Hometown’

According to Backstage, “Hometown” will follow the daily lives of a group of friends in a small town. Some of them are at home “by choice,” others “by force”—and “some [are] i come back to see how nothing has changed at all.

Morgan, the male lead, is a truck driver invited to leave his small town. It has been described as “slightly comedic” and “go with the flow”. This is an LGBTQ+ acting opportunity and the selected actor will be expected to participate in romantic scenes with other men.

‘Under My Skin’

  • Type of project: feature film

According to Backstage, “Under My Skin” is described as a horror film with elements of a thriller. Brothers Joel and Michael and their wives Ash and Sierra visit their recently deceased father Frank’s cabin. Tensions flare as they can’t agree on what to do with the place. Domestic trouble collides with the paranormal as it quickly becomes apparent that they are not alone in this cabin.

Most of the cast is still listed on Backstage as unaired at the time of reporting. Some characters, such as Frank, Michael, and Joel, are listed as having ethnic requirements.

“reality”

The possibilities in this casting are backgrounds and extras. Interested actors can apply to be a football player or one of several children who attend a Bible study during a scene in the show. Both have additional ethnicity requirements.

“Helena’s Song”

According to Backstage, “Helena’s Song” is a horror film following Eli and his wife Helena, who is battling an illness. As Helena’s condition worsens, Eli must contend with both the compounding grief of his wife’s possible death and several “strange events.”

Eli is described as a “nurturing and caring husband” who spends most of his time looking after his wife. He enjoys cooking, fishing, feeding local ducks and listening to his wife play the flute.

Helena is described as a woman who has been sick for a long time, but has come to terms with this fact. Her illness has sapped much of her energy. She loved playing the flute and recently took it up again as “a last ditch effort to hang on to the life she had.”

Neither role has an ethnicity requirement.

“Frequent Rain”

‘NG Militia’, described as a ‘fearful militia’, requires beginner-level weapons training with firearms, comprehensive physical training, running and stunts. Military training is “preferred but not required.”
