The man in the photo with Obama is a late TV presenter and chef Anthony Bourdain.
2025 In July A photo circulated on the Internet showing former US President Barack Obama drinking beer with an ashamed financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The painting allegedly was made in Southeast Asia, according to many reports. One X user’s headline reads: “He was buried by the press, but not only were Obama and Jeffrey Epstein’s friends, but also traveled around Thailand to find a” perfect spring roll. “

However, the photo above does not show Obama to drink beer with Epstein. A man drinking with the former president is the late chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain. So we appreciated this painting as a false.
An authentic photo was taken before Bourdain interviewed Obama in a small restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam – No Thailand – For their performance, “parts are unknown” in 2016 (Archived). While drinking beer, they had a dish called Bún Chả.
During the interview, Obama talked about her previous experience in Southeast Asia, in parenting and reached political exclusion.
Bourdain died of suicide in 2018. June 8 of that year. Obama announced the above pair of beer in Hanoi, with a headline: “Low plastic stools, cheap but delicious pasta, cold Hanoi beer.” This is what I will remember Tony.
Although Bourdain and Epstein may have some similarities in the face, it is obvious that they are two different men and that Epstetin was not shown in the photo above with Obama.
Snopes has investigated many claims for Bourdaine and Obama. For example, we were considering whether the late chef said people should have a drink with those they disagree with and whether the former president said the boys needed a gay mentor.
