Ingredients:
*250 grams of spaghetti

*4 cloves of garlic, minced
*6-7 tomatoes, roughly mashed
* 1 tablespoon of butter
* Parmesan, grated
*Salt to taste
* Red chili flakes, if needed for seasoning

* Bring a pot of salted water to the boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. It should be al dente
*Drain the pasta once done, reserving the water. Keep aside
*In another pot, add the olive oil, followed by the onion. Fry until the onion softens
*Add the garlic, stir and add the pureed tomatoes
*When the sauce starts to thicken, add some of the reserved pasta water. Stir and check for seasoning. If necessary, add salt
*At this point you can add cayenne pepper if you want some heat
*Add the spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat well. Add oil
* Grate Parmesan cheese, brush the spaghetti with olive oil and serve hot
