Meet the THREE15 team

To better understand why THREE15 is so special, we asked Mandy Moseley, owner, and Alex Freeman, manager of THREE15’s Homewood location, what this studio and team means to them.

Mandy’s dream was to open her own fitness studio

For years while teaching exercise and earning a degree in nutrition, Mandy harbored a dream of opening her own fitness studio. Along the way, she enjoyed teaching a class she created that combined rhythm-based cycling, high/low cardio, and strength work.

“There was nothing like it anywhere. Yes, there were cycling studios, barre studios, and strength-focused studios, but no one was trying to bring them together, and especially not in one room.

I selfishly wanted to do all the things I enjoyed and luckily there were a lot of people who felt the same way.”

Taking these concepts and converting them into one class, THREE15 was born.

For Alex, there’s a friend on every bike in THREE15

Alex Freeman, manager of THREE15 in Homewood (Nathan Watson / Bham Now)

in 2020 Alex was working for Lululemon when the staff “sweated on the THREE15 team”—trained by Mandy herself!

“She [Mandy] I asked if any of the men would be interested in an instruction and I have never been on board anything so fast in my entire life.

Wondering what a class with Alex looks like? Here’s what he said:

“A typical class with me involves walking into the studio and partying for 45-55 minutes. We have fun, work hard and get stronger together. If you leave class without a smile on your face, then I haven’t done my job.

Metaphors that describe my class are: performing a residency in Vegas, doing a stand-up comedy show, performing the ‘big game’ at halftime, performing as an Ariana Grande impersonator, etc.”

If this is just a glimpse of how much fun the THREE15 team is having, then sign me up.

“There are a million places you can work out, but THREE15 is really the first one that has ever made me excited to come back for more. THREE15 is where I fell in love with fitness.”
