Deborah-Leigh Furness headed out for a ‘date’ night with a close friend of her ex Hugh Jackman, months after splitting from the Wolverine star.
Furness, 68, attended an event in New York with British photographer Nigel Barker, whom Jackman previously described as a good friend.

The two stepped out for the CARE International Women’s Day She Leads the World Portrait Gallery event in Manhattan and posed on the red carpet, with Barker’s arm around Furness.
Furness wore a simple black outfit, while Barker, 51, known for appearing on America’s Next Top Model as a judge and photographer, donned a black suit with a white shirt.
Jackman and Furness regularly double-dated Barker and his wife, former model Kristen Barker, Sky News reports.
The four have known each other for a long time.
Back in 2015, Jackman took to Facebook to share a photo of himself with Barker at the gym.
“With my friend the awesome Nigel Barker and a huge supporter of Make-A-Wish International,” he captioned a photo of the pair enjoying a laugh together.
A year earlier, Barker and Jackman were photographed attending a lunch hosted by Jerry Seinfeld in New York to support the Stroller Fatherhood Initiative, a charity to help provide resources for new fathers.
Furness was all smiles as she attended CARE’s International Women’s Day event, six months after she and Jackman dropped a bombshell by announcing they were splitting.
The actress recently told The Daily Telegraph that she is both “scared” and “excited” about her future and her new single status.
“It’s kind of exciting,” she said.
“You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little scary and we’re all a little afraid of it, but I think that’s probably our greatest gift.”
Jackman and Furness were married for 27 years and their marriage was considered one of the strongest and most stable in Hollywood.
So it came as a shock to fans when they released a joint statement in September 2023 announcing that they were going their separate ways.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” their statement began.
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to continue our individual growth.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.
We take on this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.
“We appreciate your understanding of respecting our privacy as our family goes through this transition in all of our lives.”
The statement was signed “Deb and Hugh Jackman.”
After their split, Furness appeared in the film Force of Nature: The Dry 2 alongside Eric Bana.
Jackman has been busy filming and promoting Deadpool 3, starring another good friend, Ryan Reynolds.
