South Western Rail trains affected by Track Safety Inspection (PA)

Major disruption has hit some South Western Railway trains traveling to and from London Waterloo.

Services between Central Station and Woking, Guildford and/or Basingstoke may be cancelled, delayed or revised until the end of the day.

This is because a safety inspection on the track between Walton-On-Thames and Weybridge has left all lines blocked.

Meanwhile, commuters to Heathrow are experiencing minor delays on the Piccadilly line between Acton Town and Heathrow and Uxbridge.

The line is also seeing severe delays between Acton town and Uxbridge – due to an earlier signal failure on Caledonian Road.

There are currently long delays between Cockfosters and Acton Town westbound only due to an earlier signal failure at Caledonian Road with minor delays on the rest of the line.

Interruption between Wimbledon and Woking

South Western Railway trains between Wimbledon and Woking are affected by a track safety inspection between Walton-on-Thames and Weybridge which is blocking some lines.

Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised until at least 10am.

Disruption of the London Overground line to/from Stratford

London Overground trains to/from Stratford may be canceled or delayed until at least 8am.

This is due to a fault in the signaling system which has affected routes between Clapham Junction/Richmond and Stratford.

Two lanes closed after three-car crash on M4

Two of the five lanes are currently closed on the M4, following an incident, look eastbound between J5 A4 London Road (Langley) and J4B M25 J15.

Traffic was temporarily held up for 20 minutes and is now queuing, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix, which said there was a “heavy impact”.

Overground is no longer broken

We’ve previously told you how London Overground trains running to/from Stratford can be canceled or delayed due to a fault in the signaling system.

National Rail says this is no longer the case and has announced that the “incident has been cleared”.

Delays if traveling to Heathrow:

There are minor delays on the Piccadilly line between Acton Town and Heathrow and Uxbridge.

The line is also facing serious delays between Cockfosters and Acton Town while TfL fixes a signal fault on Caledonian Road.
