So many celebrities have visited Bun B’s Trill Burgers so far

Astros third baseman Alex Bregman was spotted placing a to-go order before the holiday rush.

Precariously balancing a Trill Burgers hat on top of another hat, “Breggy Bomb” purveyor and Astros third baseman Alex Bregman was seen dining at the viral burger joint recently.

According to representatives for Bun B and Mike Pham, Bregman’s visit was unannounced, although he did stop to sign autographs and meet fans while waiting for his order. In a video posted by Trill on their social media accounts, Bregman dived headfirst into one of his smashing burgers, remaining speechless for the entire bite. Bregman praised the dish in the comments.

“Happy Trilmas!” the baseball star replied in a comment.

Since opening in June 2023, Trill Burgers has created quite a buzz with lines as long as day and an endless list of celebrities spotted dining inside. Here are some of the individuals who were caught getting their fill of Trill:

Tio Choco, known legally as Bruce Wayne Zelaya Jr., showed up at Trill Burgers just days before Bregman. The social media star and Houston native was seen shooting a Christmas video with Boone rocking out to holiday music. Zelaya was seen holding the OG burger combo as she partied with store employees.

Known for helping pioneer the “Dirty South” sound, renowned Houston producer Mike Dean has worked with legends such as Selena, Beyoncé, Tupac Shakur, UGK and Scarface. Wearing a ‘Merry Trillmas’ hoodie and paying tribute to Bun B’s late UGK cohort Pimp C, Dean visited the restaurant for the Trillmas event where Bun played ‘Santa Trill’.

The Hall of Fame linebacker showed up from Trill Burger and cracked jokes with Bun B and the staff. “It’s a must!” Sapp said in a video, encouraging people to visit. The former NFL star also mentioned TikTok foodie Keith Lee in his video, joking about his reviews. Eating the OG combo, Sapp taste-tested the burger, fries and signature Trill sauce for high praise.

On November 28, Philly rappers and close friends of Bun B, Beanie Sigel and Freeway stopped by the restaurant. Ordering one OG burger and one vegan OG burger, the two praised both their dishes. Freeway dug into the beef burger, calling it “A1” food. Siegel, on the other hand, ate the meatless burger with bewilderment. “This tastes like a straight up beef burger,” Siegel said. “This is crazy.”

Dusty Baker

Following the Astros’ postseason run, recently retired manager Dusty Baker was seen dining at the restaurant owned by Bun B. Baker ordered OG Burgers and Bun B Exotic Pop Orange Sodas before heading back to California. Earlier this year, Bun B posted a video with Baker thanking the longtime trainer for his contributions to the city. “He was an incredible leader and a shining example of sportsmanship and honor,” the rapper said in a post.

E-40 and Booker T

Within the same day, rap icon E-40 and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Huffman went to Trill Burgers to catch up with Bun B. The visits, which took place in September, saw both pop culture icons eat burgers and sign autographs with fans. According to restaurant officials, the Bay Area rapper’s visit was a surprise, coming right after Huffman recorded a live episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast at the restaurant.

Shaquille O’Neal

During a whirlwind year of selling printers and frying chicken, pro basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal made a stop at the viral restaurant in August. The businessman was in Houston to open the second location of Big Chicken, a fried chicken chain he co-owns. O’Neal has had a long friendship with Bun B that spans three decades. Ordering a kid’s meal and the iconic orange Bun B soda, O’Neill praised Trill Burgers for its taste.

Perhaps the first boxer to appear at Trill Burgers was Mike Tyson, who visited the store in July, just days after it opened. Tyson ordered a vegan OG combo, joking with Bun B in an Instagram video. Known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Tyson has reportedly followed a vegan diet for years, although he has reportedly transitioned to including some meat in his diet.

Drake and Ludacris

Perhaps some of the most popular visits to Trill Burgers came from Houston newcomer Drake and famous actor and rapper Ludacris. Both rappers made visits in June, with Luda stopping by before the store’s grand opening. To this day, a viral clip of Ludacris sampling the burger makes the rounds behind the cash register. Drake, on the other hand, showed up unannounced to sit down with Bun B for a meal. Calling it “the ultimate burger [he’s] ever had,” Drake praised the restaurant.

With the massive popularity of Trill Burgers and the co-owner of an all-time rap legend, it’s no wonder the list of celebrity visits is already long. Additional visits were recorded by artists such as Too Short, NORE, Lil’ Keke, Sean Kingston, Slim Thug, Willie D and Webbie. Athletes and entertainers Andre Johnson, Jae’Sean Tate, Top Dolla and MVP have also been seen munching on Trill.
