‘Wild theories’ about missing Kate shattered

Wild social media conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales have been slammed since Kate disappeared from the public eye.

Kensington Palace responds to rumors about Princess Kate’s health

But officials are still refusing to release more information about Kate’s well-being, citing medical confidentiality. The sun reports.

The princess has not been seen since Christmas and is not expected to return to public duties until April as she recovers from abdominal surgery more than six weeks ago.

The internet and social media are abuzz with rumors about her – which were further fueled when husband William pulled out of a memorial service on Tuesday due to a mysterious ‘personal matter’.

Kensington Palace insists Kate is “doing well” and will only provide significant updates before her return after Easter.

William received flowers – and dragon toys for his children – as he celebrated St David’s Day in Wrexham yesterday.

He said: “I will also pass them on to Catherine. Thank you very much.”

There have been calls for the palace to be more open about Kate’s operation and William’s last-minute no-show at this week’s memorial service for former Greek King Constantine, at which he was due to give a reading.

At the time, royal watchers were advised not to panic at the last-minute change of plans

Now Kensington Palace said: “We have been really clear from the outset that we will not be providing an ongoing comment on the health of the Princess of Wales and will only provide significant updates.

“Obviously, we’re witnessing the social media frenzy and that’s not going to change our strategy.

“There has been a lot on social media, but the princess has a right to a private life and asks the public to respect that.

“We remind you of the January statement in which the Princess of Wales wished her medical information to remain confidential.”

William has previously criticized what he called “bile” spread on social media and took part in a four-day boycott in April 2021 to highlight abuse and discrimination.

In 2018, he accused tech companies of not doing enough to tackle fake news, privacy issues and cyberbullying — and of putting profits before doing the right thing.

At the time, he said: “The tools we use to congratulate each other on milestones and successes can also be used to normalize speech that is filled with bile and hate.”

Kate’s long absence from the public eye has sparked a lot of crazy internet rumors and viral memes.

But she is understood to be staying at home at Adelaide Cottage, Windsor, recuperating with her family.

On Wednesday, January 17, the Palace released a statement announcing that she had “planned abdominal surgery.”

Aides did not disclose the nature of the procedure, but sources insist it was not cancerous.

A spokesman at the time said Kate would be out until after Easter, which this year falls at the end of this month.

The Palace then said: The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will cause.

“She hopes the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children and her desire to keep her personal medical information private.”

There has been no update on her condition since then, and Prince William completed his second engagement day this week without his wife.
