A new flagship brand combines the precision technologies of Precision Planting and PTx Trimble
The strategic alignment of these brands will facilitate the rapid growth of AGCO’s technology transformation and support the future development and deployment of next-generation agricultural technologies for farmers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
PTx will serve farmers worldwide through three go-to-market approaches. Specialist precision agriculture dealers will help farmers upgrade almost any brand or crop of equipment they already own with the latest technology. PTx will also expand its relationships with more than 100 OEM partners who can integrate products from the PTx portfolio directly into the factory. Similarly, new machines from AGCO’s flagship brands – Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra – will also offer factory-fitted technology from the PTx portfolio.

“We believe technology should give farmers the flexibility to navigate between brands and throughout the crop cycle,” said
The PTx name is rooted in AGCO’s heritage: precision agriculture (P) and advanced technology (T) that multiply (x) the impact they create for farmers through seamless, intelligent and farmer-centric technologies.
The symbol represents the precise rows and fields in agriculture and tells a story of global connection. To present a unified proposition to the market, Precision Planting’s visual identity has evolved as part of the new PTx brand portfolio, while retaining the brand’s well-known corn plant as a nod to its rich heritage. PTx Trimble’s visual identity reflects that of the flagship PTx brand.
AGCO completed the JV transaction with Trimble on April 1, 2024 to create PTx Trimble. Andrew Sunderman has been appointed general manager of PTx Trimble. Sunderman’s 12 years of experience in various global roles at AGCO, including most recently leading the joint venture integration team, positions him well to lead this business.
“Farmers rely on precision agriculture technology to increase yields, reduce waste and maximize their resources,” said Sunderman. “The launch of PTx and the launch of the PTx Trimble JV allow us to better serve farmers by offering them retrofitted and factory-installed solutions to meet their financial and operational goals.”
Keith Crowe will continue to lead Precision Planting as General Manager.
