Kate Middleton news: Princess of Wales issues statement on St Patrick’s Day

Princess Kate ‘calms down’ Mother’s Day image ‘done completely the other way around’, royal biographer says

The Prince and Princess of Wales have wished their followers a happy St Patrick’s Day as they miss out on celebrations amid Kate’s ongoing health problems.

Next to the Instagram video featuring British soldiers, the pair wrote: ‘Happy St Patrick’s Day! Here’s a sneak peak of the Irish Guards rehearsing for their annual parade. Kudos to all those celebrating today!’

It comes after friends of Kate said she could talk about her health during public engagements after months of speculation.

Those close to Kate and the Prince of Wales say the couple will reveal more about her recovery in due course, according to The Sunday Times, which reports her return is expected after April 17.

A source told the newspaper: “They are most open when they are interacting with members of the public and I can see a world where the princess can discuss her recovery on engagements. If he was going to do it, he was going to do it.

It comes as another friend told the same newspaper that Kate edited the infamous Mother’s Day photo because she was trying to make her family “look as good as possible”.

Kate to keep releasing pictures

The Prince and Princess of Wales intend to continue posting pictures celebrating their children’s birthdays after Kate apologized for editing a family photo on Mother’s Day.

Prince Louis turns six on April 23 and sources close to the couple told The Sunday Times that a “firm decision” has not yet been made on whether Kate will be behind the camera.

“They appreciate the public’s love and affection for their children and know there is a public appetite to see them on their birthdays,” an aide told the paper.

It comes after a family photo released by Kensington Palace was pulled with a “Kill” notice by international photo agencies and the UK News Agency.

Kate apologized after concerns were raised about Princess Charlotte’s missing sleeve and misaligned hem of her skirt, with other speculation including the positioning of Kate’s zipper.

Kensington Palace declined to comment.

As of now, the brand’s Instagram presence consists of nine posts on the network, which collect the brand’s title, seemingly embroidered in gold-beige thread on a cream cloth.

On Instagram Stories, a short video shows Meghan arranging white flowers in a jug before mixing the ingredients in the kitchen while Nancy Wilson’s “I Wish You Love” plays in the background.

The website is similarly elusive – so far the home page only displays the same logo image, prompting interested fans to sign up for a waiting list for further updates.

Kate and William spotted at Windsor farm shop – reports

The Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted looking ‘happy and healthy’ at a farm shop near their Windsor home on Saturday, sun reports.

The trip reportedly came after the couple spent the morning watching their children George, Charlotte and Louis take part in sports.

A witness at the farm shop a mile from their Adelaide Cottage home told the newspaper: “After all the rumors that have been going around I was amazed to see them there. Kate was shopping with William and looked happy and looking good.

“The kids weren’t with them, but that’s such a good sign that she was well enough to go to the shops.”

The sighting comes as the princess has been the subject of unfounded conspiracy theories about her health in recent weeks.

She has been out of the public eye as she continues her recovery from abdominal surgery she underwent in January.

Diana’s brother says childhood nanny ‘broke our heads’

Earl Spencer, the brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, has revealed that their childhood nanny would “break our heads” if they misbehaved.

Speaking to the BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuensberg program about his upbringing following the release of his memoirs, the 59-year-old said the sentence would be a “shattering crisis” which “really hurts”.

Earl Spencer said it highlighted the “parental detachment” but he did not criticize his mother and father, saying it was “normal” to “let the nanny handle it”.

Speaking of the nanny, he said: “She used to bang our heads together if we were found to have done something wrong, obviously without my dad’s knowledge, but it really hurt.

“It wasn’t a tap on the wrist, it was a cracking crunch, you know, and I still remember it.

“I think that again highlights the disconnect between parents and I really, I’m not a critic of my parents, they did their best as 98% of parents do and again I think it was normal, you leave it to the nanny to deal with it.

Irish Guards cheer on absent Princess of Wales at St Patrick’s Day Parade

The Irish Guards gave three cheers for their absent colonel, the Princess of Wales, during the St Patrick’s Day parade at Mons Barracks in Hampshire.

On Sunday, 250 Irish Guardsmen marched on the parade ground at Aldershot Barracks, led by their mascot, a three-year-old Irish wolfhound named Thurloe More, also known as Seamus.

Kate, who has been colonel of the regiment for a year after officially taking over from her husband, is still recovering from abdominal surgery in January and has not resumed her public duties.

William and Kate have attended several past parades together and she was photographed in the rain last year presenting mascot Seamus with the traditional shamrock before the pair enjoyed a glass of Guinness with the troops.

The British Army in London posted on X, ex-Twitter: “In keeping with tradition wherever they are in the world, the @irish_guards give three rousing cheers for the Colonel of the Regiment HRH The Princess of Wales at their St Patrick’s Day Parade in Aldershot. “

They took off their bearskin hats before shouting three times “hip hip hooray”.
