Pink’s hilarious reaction after a fan gave her Vegemite figures at a concert in Melbourne

Pink loves Australia, but she doesn’t seem to like this iconic Aussie snack.

The singer was performing at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium when a fan handed her a box of Vegemite Shapes during a break between songs.

She eyed the box quizzically, wondering if she should accept the challenge of trying the strange looking snack.

“Don’t challenge me,” she joked.

“Will you have some?

“Do you like them?”

She then opened the box and sniffed the shapes, smelling that salty Vegemite aroma before making a face that said “I’m not so sure about that.”

“Don’t do it, don’t do it!” fans could be heard shouting in the audience.

But she continued forward anyway, chewing on a form with a somewhat unimpressed expression on her face.

“I mean, it’s a carb, what’s wrong with it?” she quipped to laughter from the audience.

“It’s a bit dry though.”

The singer then asked if the fan wanted her box of biscuits back.

“I think I’m good,” she joked, grimacing as she handed the biscuits back to their original owner – before washing their taste down with some Maltesers.

When the footage was posted on Facebook, fans had a field day with her apparent rejection of Vegemite Shapes.

“That was fun. I also loved how she ate a few Maltesers to get the taste of Vegemite out of her mouth,” said one fan.

“(She) tried to sing and chew at the same time, then spit chocolate on the mic!”

“I love how genuine she is. This is amazing,” said another.

“One of my favorite parts of last night’s show,” gushed a third.

“The way she said, ‘I think I’m fine!’

Others chimed in to say that Vegemite itself is great, but Vegemite Shapes not so much.

“Why would you give them to her?” one fan wondered.

“They’re my favorite shapes!” another shot back.

“Maybe a little wine would have gone better,” suggested one Facebook user.

It’s something of a rite of passage to get celebrities visiting Australia to try Vegemite.

Last year, The Voice Australia coaches Jason Derulo and Rita Ora were asked to do a blind Vegemite taste test by fellow coaches Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.

While Ora didn’t seem to mind the Aussie staple, Derulo was clearly unimpressed.

“I’m not going to lie, Vegemite wasn’t that,” he said, noticing the smell and color as he was spoon-fed it.

“I thought, ‘Oh shit, I’ve just been fed ** on live TV!’

Other Americans, however, like it salty.

Tom Hanks is a true fan if a photo he shared on Instagram in 2020 is any indication.

Hanks was in Australia to film Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic, but had to go into self-isolation due to COVID.

The picture shows two slices of toast fully spread with Vegemite (no butter or margarine underneath), along with a tube of Vegemite and a toy kangaroo holding an Australian flag.

Even Australian followers were stunned by the amount of Vegemite Hanks had put on his toast.

“Corona won’t kill you, but that amount of Vegemite will,” joked one fan.

“Oh my god Mr Hanks, not even the bravest Aussie would put THAT many vegetables on a piece of toast!” wrote another.

Hanks replied that he has since learned to use a lighter hand and “not spread my Vegemite so thick.”

Maybe Pink will eventually come to Vegemite?
