Lee Child’s action hero Jack Reacher is supposed to be a 6ft 5in giant with a “arms like tree trunks” and hands as big as turkeys in a supermarket. so the casting agents behind the hit TV series Amazon Reacher they got lucky when they found Alan Richson to play on a former US Army military policeman who investigates murders; it is only two inches shorter than the real thing. But he looks just as big thanks to an intense fitness regime. This is how he and his colleagues keep fit.

Malcolm Goodwin played Oscar Finley in seasons one and two. He opened up about his career, approach to acting and favorite ways to stay in shape in an interview with Fit chat. Goodwin likes to box to stay in shape. “I love the workout,” he says. “I’m asthmatic, so I have to keep up my cardio.”

Robert Patrick played Shane Langston in season two. He talks about getting sober Salon.com. “For a long time, I never thought I had a problem,” Patrick said. “I thought I was like everyone else. Everyone I was with was doing the same things I was, and I didn’t realize we all had a problem. It took me a long time to realize that I was abnormal. I appreciate you asking the question because I would like to say that a lot of this behavior had to do with my insecurities, which were much more prevalent when I was young. I have been sober for 21 years and my life has benefited greatly. I have a sponsor and I try to live by example. I am a believing Episcopalian and it took me a long time to be honest and get to know myself. The thing that was really missing in my life was spirituality. My brother is in the music industry and is sober. I know he wishes he could get back those years he spent under the influence. He’s lost some really good friends lately.

Alan Ritchson plays Jack Reacher in the series. He talks about getting in shape for the role Men’s magazine.I made an attack on all fronts to prepare for this one. I do what I can to stay healthy and fit all the time as many of my projects are in this superhero genre. I try to stay lean, so I usually walk around at 205 pounds. However, for this I wanted to gain weight and ended up gaining 30 pounds to get to 235 pounds. I prepared him five days a week during the eight months we had to prepare. I don’t usually use weights because I get big so fast, but I got them out for this. I need to let loose in the gym. The real requirement is that you need to get calories, protein and macros, so it was a conveyor belt of food. It’s a full-time job to get 4,500 calories and 300 grams of protein into your body. I was lucky to have the help.

Willa Fitzgerald played Roscoe Conklin in season one. She shared her wellness secrets with The Bare Magazine. “I feel my number one need is sleep. I prioritize 8-9 hours over most things. But food definitely comes second in how I feel. I don’t eat land meat and only eat fish occasionally. I try to eat as many vegetables and whole grains as possible. But I’m also a sugar addict. My freezer is full of ice cream and my pantry is stocked with cookies and chocolate. Everything in moderation, which for me means listening to those sugar cravings when they come.”

Maria Sten plays Frances Neagley on the show. She is a former dancer and tells Black girl geeks that it helps her with stunts and her acting career. “I do all my stunts when it’s safe, which is most of the time. And so it’s exciting to be able to use that old experience of learning choreography and being in my body in such a natural way in a big explosive show like Reacher. Being a dancer requires a lot of discipline. It requires overcoming fatigue, overcoming pain, and everything that happens to you. I am grateful that I love what I do. And I take it seriously.”

Serinda Swan played Carla Dixon in season two. She likes to do yoga to keep fit. Lebed shared this video on Instagram doing yoga poses while on a paddleboard. She captioned the post, “Upside down styles… I’ve been trying to master this coming down for days hahahahahaha my.”

She shared her fitness secrets in a video interview with Shape Magazine. “I do a lot of yoga,” she said. “When I’m at work, because my hours are crazy, I work out in the gym. I have a friend who is a trainer, so she puts together workouts and I just sort them out.”

Shannon Cook plays Tony Swann in season two. He talked about getting in shape for the film Dark places to Talk nonsense to us. “I was a vegetarian for eight months because I was trying to get in shape quickly. I was just pretty frustrated trying to figure out how to get as fit as possible for this character because just the description of him in the book is just him training four hours a day. Just death metal grunts and curses and his body is always at an acute angle.”
